The DIS4SME course Introduction to location data interoperability for technicians is open for registration.
The course “Introduction to Location Data Interoperability” for technicians will be delivered at the end of March – beginning of April as online scheduled classes using the Zoom platform.
The course consists of three sessions, totaling 7 hours, and will be delivered on the following dates:
- First session: March 31, 2025, from 14:00 to 17:00 CET.

It will allow to analyse the impact of the implementation of INSPIRE requirements and recommendations on the SDI components (metadata, data and services). It will also explain how to comply to High Value Datasets Regulation, to be aligned to the FAIR data management principles and to tackle the data space challenges.
At the end of the course, the participants will learn how to apply the main GI standards and good practices enabling location data interoperability.
The course is made up of 8 lectures with different durations. At the end of each lecture, 2/3 quizzes are provided to participants, to support their learning process and help consolidating the Learning Objectives associated to that lecture.
At the end of the course, an exercise with the tutor is foreseen. Achievement of learning outcomes defined at course level will be assessed by means of a practical exercise.
